An Evening with Colin Dexter

North Lincolnshire Libraries are delighted to present An Evening with Colin Dexter. The event takes place at the Plowright Theatre on 10 January 2009.

Following his retirement from a 13-year teaching career, Colin Dexter began writing novels after reading a crime novel, which he felt he could have written better.

His first novel Last Bus To Woodstock was published in 1975. His famous character Inspector Morse has since appeared in 13 novels and numerous short stories. Inspector Morse was later adapted for the small screen and became a huge TV success.

Colin is a gifted and immensely witty narrator. He will explain about how Morse was adapted for TV and tell us what John Thaw was really like. Colin will also tell about his own walk-on parts in each episode.

Tickets cost £14 and can be purchased at the Plowright Theatre.
