The Central Library holds a variety of material for the different ethnic communities in North Lincolnshire.
The main collection of books is on the ground floor of the library. We have material in the following languages:
- Arabic
- Bengali
- Gujerati
- Hindi
- Punjabi
- Somali
- Tamil
- Thai
- Urdu
- Vietnamese
The library also has books in the major European languages, including French, German, Italian and Spanish.
We can obtain books in other languages, such as Polish, Russian, Portuguese and Turkish. Please ask a member of staff if you want more details.
The Reference and Study Library on the first floor has a collection of newspapers and periodicals in other languages, including:
- Janemot (Bengali)
- The Panjab Times & Des Pardes (Punjabi)
- Daily Jang (Urdu)
- Epoch Times (Chinese)
A wide variety of Asian music is available on CD on the ground floor of the Central Library. The selection includes popular film music, Qwallies, Bhangra, pop and classical titles.
