The Wesley collection

The council has a specialist collection of items about John Wesley and Methodism.

The collection includes items written both by and about John Wesley. There are also pieces about Charles Wesley and other family members. It includes the accounts of the Methodist Church. It also contains biographies of main figures in the church.

There are volumes of Wesley’s works and published copies of his letters, sermons, journals and diaries.

Space does not allow public display of the collection. There is however a catalogue in North Lincolnshire Central Library that lists all the items and their location.

You can download a copy of the Wesley catalogue below. This shows the author, title and publication date for all items in the collection.
