Acceptable Proof of Identity Required to Join the Library

New members of North Lincolnshire libraries are required to provide acceptable proof of both their name and address when applying for membership.

Acceptable Proof of Name and Address:

  • Driving Licence.
  • Some Building Society Passbooks.
  • Council Rent Book or Tenancy Agreement.
  • Gas, Electricity, Telephone Bills.
  • A Current Bank Statement.
  • National Giro Cheque Book.
  • Family Allowance or Pension Book.
  • Police Warrant Card (with proof of address).
  • Wage Slip (with proof of address).
  • Equity Card.
  • Naturalisation Card.
  • Council Tax Instalment Book.
  • Recent envelope received at home through the post (with proof of signature).

We are unable to accept:

  • Birth Certificates.
  • N.U.S. Cards.
  • Senior Citizen Bus Passes.
  • Identity cards from place of work with photographs but no address.
  • Rent Books not issued by a council.
  • Ten Year Passports.
  • Bank or Credit Cards.
  • Young Persons Coach Cards.
  • Address of Place of Work.
