Resources loans
- Tailored project packs of up to 25 items, designed to support individual curriculum areas. Entitlement of eight packs per year plus one further pack for every 50 pupils
- Bulk reading loans of books to support classroom reading and school library stock, selected from Education Library Service (ELS) showroom at the Education Development Centre either by teachers or ELS staff. Entitlement of 150 books loaned per year plus 50 extra books loaned for every 100 pupils.
Other services
- Advisory service to schools, on matters relating to school library organisation, design and promotion. Entitlement of up to three hours per year, with additional sessions available at an hourly rate
- Story sessions, book talks etc. to support book weeks, literacy events and other projects. Entitlement of up to two sessions - maximum duration one hour each - per year.

Prices
The cost to primary and special schools for the above service is a block sum of £472 and a charge of £2.21 per pupil. As the budget for the service is not delegated to schools but held centrally in an earmarked account, a single charge will be made on behalf of each school when a signed SLA is returned.
The arrangements set out above are not available to secondary schools. For any support required from ELS by secondary schools, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
