The council's libraries and information services offer an extensive range of services to the local community.
We operate one central library, 14 branch libraries and two mobile libraries. Library users can select from a wide variety of books and other materials.
The library service is also your link with other local, regional and national libraries and specialist information services.

What's new for 2010?
2010 is going to be an exciting year for local libraries. Some new services are available now, plus there will be some changes later in the year. Read on to find out how libraries are modernising in the new decade.
Improved library catalogue
Our online library catalogue has recently been upgraded. It is easier to use and has new features. You can now submit book reviews (and read other people's); create a wishlist; link to Amazon and amend your own personal details.
New pre-overdue service
Some people have been telling us that it would be useful to know in advance, when their books are going to be due back. Now, if you have told us your email address, we will send you an email a couple of days beforehand to remind you that your books are due back shortly. To take advantage of this new service, visit our online catalogue information page, or ask library staff on your next visit.
No limits on the number of times you can renew
There is now no limit to how many times you may renew your books. Provided that another reader has not reserved the books you have borrowed, you may renew them as many times as you like. This will help you to finish long books and enable you to renew from home instead of visiting the library, when you are pressed for time.
Theory Test Pro - You can now practice for your driving theory and hazard perception tests in the comfort of your own home. This is one of many online resources available to all library members 24/7 in the Online Reading Room.
British Citizenship test - we now have an online programme where you can learn about British Citizenship and take practice tests.
ReadNorthLincs is now online. Join in with our library blog, online discussion boards and much more. If you love reading then tell us all about it!
You can see photos of previous library events, including the recent Poetry in the Park event at Normanby Hall in our online photo album.
