Libraries

The council's libraries and information services offer an extensive range of services to the local community.

We operate one central library, 14 branch libraries and two mobile libraries. Library users can select from a wide variety of books and other materials.

We also have a range of online resources that you can use for free, even when the library is closed. Visit our 24/7 Library - Online Reading Room.

The library service is also your link with other local, regional and national libraries and specialist information services.
