National pool lifeguard qualification.
Starting Thursday 15 January 2009 at Scunthorpe Leisure Centre. Successful candidates will receive a nationally recognised Pool Lifeguard Qualification that will enable you to work within the leisure industry as a pool lifeguard.
Course requirement - candidates must be at least 16 years of age and a confident swimmer.
Course content - Principles of pool lifeguard, role of pool lifeguard, practical water rescue skills, first aid, fitness and teamwork.
Duration - Thursday 5.30pm to 9.30pm for 10 consecutive weeks.
Course fees - £200 which includes training manual, assessment fees and certification.
