Epworth Leisure Centre has a number of fitness activities specially designed for younger people. These activities all run during school term time. During school holidays, the leisure centre runs the popular Energize programme.
Here's a quick guide to what's on offer:
- Junior gym: For 11-15 year olds. This is a supervised and structured fitness session in the health club. Using all cardiac vascular equipment plus the stability ball and ab cradle.
- Trampolining: For 5-15 year olds. This is a fun coached session that encourages individual learning and development in a safe environment. It gives youngsters the opportunity to work to recognised levels to enhance their fitness and personal achievement.
- Gymnastics: For 4-15 year olds. This is a coached session learning balance and skills while keeping fit, working to an individual pace within a group environment.
- Badminton: For 6-15 year olds. This is a coach led activity with a real emphasis on learning the correct way to play in a fun environment.
