Concession card holders are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on certain activities during off-peak times. Off-peak times are Monday to Friday before 4pm and Saturday/Sunday before 12noon.
The discount applies to:
- Casual swimming
- Health club
- Health suite.
Only North Lincolnshire residents may buy concession cards.
Providing you are a North Lincolnshire resident, you will be able to buy a concession card if you are:
- In receipt of income support
- In receipt of job seekers allowance
- In receipt of working tax credit
- In receipt of council tax benefit
- In receipt of housing benefit
- Registered disabled
- In receipt of disablement allowance
- In receipt of disability living allowance
- In receipt of attendance allowance
- A full-time student.
Concession cards are available from the reception desk at any of the council's leisure centres for £1.50. The card will be valid for one year from date of purchase.
Proof of circumstances
You will need to bring proof of circumstances when applying for your card. Juniors and over 60s will need to bring a birth certificate or other appropriate proof of age identification. You will also need to bring the appropriate valid benefit book or award notification letter for concession applications.
If you are applying for a concession card as a full-time student you will need to provide a letter from your educational establishment. This letter should confirm that you are in full-time education.
As a concession cardholder you must bring proof of circumstances each time you use your card. This is to confirm that your benefits status is still valid while you hold your concessionary entitlement.
