2007 saw the very first youth arts festival for North Lincolnshire -
The Buzz.
During the summer holidays we ran
three weeks of arts workshops and events with 93 workshops and 13 performances. Over
700 young people took part and nearly 1200 people were audience members.
This year we have funding
from Arts Council England to run the festival again, only this time bigger and
better. It will run over four weeks from 14 July through to 9 August.
We now have a Buzz
website which will have news about the Buzz festival and other arts events
and arts organisations for young people in North Lincolnshire.
The
Buzz is a partnership project led by North Lincolnshire Council's Arts Development; project
managed by Fusion Theatre and involves Youth Service; Community, Learning and
Education; the Plowright Theatre; ST-ART; the Library Service; and 20:21
Visual Arts Centre. For the past two years it has received funding
from Arts Council England.
