Moving Toys Curriculum Support Loan
This support loan is based on ‘Moving Toys’, Unit 5C of the QCA Design and Technology scheme of work. It comprises artist made automata, educational toys and a curriculum support booklet. It complements other resources, including the North Lincolnshire NGfL website, and was produced by 20-21 and Ian Till, Design and Technology Curriculum Support Teacher for North Lincolnshire Council.
The borrowing period is from one week to a maximum of half a term. The items need to be collected and returned to 20-21 by the school.
Tactile Story Books
We have two tactile story book sets made by Bag Books for use in the gallery by special needs groups, free of charge. Both have an animal theme, ‘The Little Princess’ about a girl and a kitten and ‘Jason’s Wish’ a boy who gets a puppy for his birthday. Please book these in advance of your visit.
The Big Draw Curriculum Support Pack Key Stage 2
This pack gives teachers a bank of ideas to use, add to, and adapt, concerning drawing and mark making. Introductory information suggests how important drawing is to us as a means of communication and how exciting it can be in the classroom. The activities listed are linked to Key Learning Objectives and Learning Outcomes. The pack was produced by teachers working at 20-21 on an Education and Business Partnership placement with the Education and Outreach Officer.
The booklet can be purchased from 20-21 for £2.50 and can be sent or collected.
Art Resource Books
20-21 has a variety of thematic art resource books for teachers to use and to help with lesson preparation. Call in advance of your visit to use these books.
