Light catchers with Gill Hobson

Saturday 8 October - 10am to 4pm

Using coloured flat glass and wire, create your own beautiful intricate light catcher with the help of artist Gill Hobson. Learn a range of techniques including glass cutting, wire manipulation, copper foiling, soldering, patination and finishing.

£35 per person. Additional material fee: £20 payable on the day.

Nuno felt scarves with Susan Forbes

Saturday 15 October - 10am to 4pm

Learn Japanese Nuno feltmaking techniques and create your own contemporary silk scarf in an inspiring class with textile artist Susan Forbes. Choose from a range of fleece colours, natural fibres and delicate materials to embellish your scarf. All materials provided but feel free to bring along your own treasured lace or vintage materials to incorporate in your work.

£30 per person. Additional material fee: £10 payable on the day.

Advanced resin workshop with Clare John

Saturday 26 November 2011 - 10am to 4pm

An advanced class to develop the skills learnt in Clare's basic cold enamel and resin workshop above. Learn how to use gel resin on a curved surface. How to apply cold enamel to a piece without a backing to look like 'plique a jour' enamel. Drill resin and add findings to resin pieces. Add wire walls to a pendant to create a 'cloisonne' enamel piece. Remove unwanted resin from a piece safely. Suitable only for people with previous experience and knowledge of working with resin.

£25 per person. Additional material fee: £8 payable on the day.

Introduction to screen printing with Martin Maywood

Saturday 24 September - 10am to 4pm

Explore screen printing with the help of artist Martin Maywood. This workshop will guide you through the basics of screen printing covering the process of paper stencil printing and multi-colour open screen printing to create a series of unique prints throughout the day.

£25 per person. Additional material fee: £10 payable on the day.

Exploring batik with Rosemary Firth

Saturday 3 December - 10am to 4pm

Discover the ancient art of batik creating unique art using hot wax and dyes with artist Rosemary Firth. Spend the morning making small samples exploring different batik techniques leading to a larger scale A4 to A3 size piece in the afternoon. Suitable for beginners.

£25 per person. Additional material fee: £5 payable on the day.

Christmas delights with Gill Hobson

Saturday 19 November - 10am to 4pm

Create unique and extra special Christmas inspired glass work using coloured flat glass and wire. learn a range of techniques including glass cutting, wire manipulation, copper foiling, soldering, patination and finishing. 

£35 per person. Additional material fee: £20 payable on the day.

Sketchbook life drawing with Letitia Thompson

Saturday 24 March 2012 - 10.30am to 2pm

A friendly class exploring different approaches to life drawing in the more personal format of the artist's sketchbook, led by artist and tutor Letia Thompson. Suitable for complete beginners or more advanced. 

£20 per person. Some materials supplied but also own materials required.

Life drawing

A regular untutored adult class to practise your life drawing skills in a friendly and welcoming environment. The class alternates between a male and female model.

Must pre-book. £6 per person. Monday evenings, 6pm to 8pm. Please bring your own materials, a board and easel can be supplied if requested when booking.
