What work does the grant cover?

With a home repairs assistance grant a builder can carry out necessary repairs and improvements to your property. For example, repairs to roofs and windows to protect you from the weather.

If you wish to do the work yourself, you could get assistance towards the cost of the materials.

The grant will normally have to be repaid if the property is sold within five years of the completion of the works.

Home Repair Assistance Grants are intended for small-scale works. The maximum assistance available is £6,000. For an application form, please contact Environmental Health (Housing) on 01724 297639. Alternatively, you can complete the online grant aid enquiry form.
