The Memorial Gardens is Scunthorpe town centre's largest area of open green space.
Though the Memorial Gardens already reaches North Lincolnshire Council's agreed maintenance standards, Advance Crosby will improve the gardens even further.
The Memorial Gardens has great potential. The council hopes to enhance this area by:
- Opening up the area to increase people's awareness of the gardens
- Adding lighting to make it a safer environment for children to play
- Planting flower beds to make the park more visually appealing
The Memorial Gardens is a perfect place for people to socialise, relax, play and exercise. It is also ideal for anyone who works in the town centre to sit and have their lunch.
As part of the regeneration of the gardens, the Corus Magnet Group is working with the council to 'clean up' the area. The group has already started work at the gardens and is looking for any residents to help them with general gardening of the area.
