The existing houses within the project area were all built at the beginning of the 20th century.
We will be consulting to determine design codes, which will guide the look of the area. The new properties will be well designed, attractive and energy efficient.
The masterplan is designed so each new property will make the most of its location.
Not all properties will be demolished and rebuilt in the project area as we feel some of the historic element needs to remain to supplement the re-developed properties. The council will assist some homeowners to improve their houses to an agreed standard.
The aim is to create an area where old and new compliment each other.
