Private housing

Environmental Health (Housing)

The Environmental Health (Housing) team is dedicated to improving the standard of living accommodation in North Lincolnshire. This includes both owner occupiers and the private rented sector.

We work closely with our partners in other departments and external agencies to achieve our government targets.

We also work closely with our local landlords through the landlords' forum and the landlord accreditation scheme.

What is our aim?

Our aim is to make homes decent, safe and comfortable to live in.

How can we help?

We can:

  • Provide grants to improve your home.
  • Provide access to Houseproud loans and other forms of financial assistance.
  • Provide access to energy efficiency grants and advice.
  • Improve the security of a property.
  • Carry out minor alterations to allow occupiers to move around their properties with ease.
  • Take enforcement action.
