Affordable housing

North Lincolnshire Council transferred its housing stock to North Lincolnshire Homes in February 2007.

If you want to apply for an affordable home in North or North East Lincolnshire you can do this using the Home Choice Lincs scheme. This scheme jointly advertises affordable homes from North Lincolnshire Homes, Shoreline Housing and Havelock & Longhurst Homes. For further information and to register with these housing associations visit Home Choice Lincs.

In North Lincolnshire there are different housing associations. Contact details for these are available on the housing association page. Details about the housing stock owned by each housing association are available below.

There are various different types of affordable homes besides renting from a housing association including:

Building affordable housing

New affordable homes can be built through two ways:

  • Homes and Communities Agency funded projects
  • Planning gain.

If you are looking to build new homes in North Lincolnshire you may be required to provide some affordable housing as part of your planning application. Please contact the council's development control team or the strategic housing team if you would like to discuss affordable housing contributions.
