Children and young people

We all know how challenging it can be to bring up and be a child in today’s world.

There are so many people telling you what is right and what is wrong, it can become very confusing.

However if you are ever stuck and need someone or somewhere to go for some advice or guidance there are plenty of organisations in North Lincolnshire that are there for you.

Here you will find useful advice on issues that could affect you as you grow up.

You can find out more information in issues such as bullying, domestic violence, living away from home and education in the Guide to Keeping Children Safe in North Lincolnshire.

This guide is arranged around the five ‘Every Child Matters’ outcomes: Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy and Achieve, Make a Positive Contribution, and Achieve Economic Well-Being.

We have chosen and ordered the subjects to match the priorities in the North Lincolnshire Children and Young People’s Plan 2006-2009 where possible.

We have highlighted issues relating to our most vulnerable children and young people including: children with disabilities, young carers, teenage parents, and children in need of protection.
