Advice for residents (Household Recycling Centres)

The ongoing use of these sites by non-residents and commercial waste producers, seeking to avoid paying disposal charges, is costing local council tax payers an estimated £150,000 per year.

As a result local residents may be asked for proof of their entitlement to use the facilities. This can be in the form of a driving licence or current council tax bill. In the absence of this proof, right of access cannot be guaranteed.

We would like to thank you for your co-operation, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to local residents.

If you need any more information or have any concerns about the effect of these necessary measures please contact our Helpline on 01724 297000.
