For collection dates of your green kerbside box please refer to your calendar. Your green box, blue box and Salvation Army collection bag will all be collected on the same day.

If you do not have a calendar, why not check out our waste and recycling collection dates page to find out when your kerbside boxes will be collected over the next four weeks? If you'd like a calendar please telephone our Customer Helpline on 01724 297000.

Have a look at our recycling cans and recycling glass pages for more ideas of what can and cannot be recycled through this scheme.

For health and safety reasons the collection crews can only empty North Lincolnshire Council scheme boxes.

Additional cans will be accepted in a carrier bag placed next to the green box. For safety reasons we regret we cannot collect excess glass in carrier bags.

By supporting the kerbside recycling scheme, you are also helping local charities. For every tonne of material collected through the council recycling scheme, Palm Recycling, the council's waste contractors, donates £1 to a local charity. Over the last few years donations have been made to Magic Moments, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Daisy Lincs, St Andrew's Childrens Hospice and Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

In addition, North Lincolnshire Council has signed up to a scheme which promises to grow a fruit tree in Malawi for every tonne of aluminium drink cans and foil recycled over the next two years. The initiative is run by not-for-profit organisation Alupro to tackle deforestation, improve nutrition and - as crop volumes improve - establish new businesses for fruit drying and juicing. Last year, recycling by North Lincolnshire residents contributed to 204 trees for Malawi.
