Assisted collection service

The council provides an assisted collection service for householders who are unable to present their waste containers for emptying. This involves the collection and return of general waste and recycling containers to the usual point of storage outside of your property.

All householders requesting an assisted collection service need to complete an application form and must meet the qualifying criteria listed below.

To qualify for the assisted collection service applicants must have:

No other able bodied people in the household plus one of the following:

  • a blue parking badge
  • disability registration
  • a physical/medical condition/infirmity/a temporary injury or pregnancy leaving you unable to present your waste for collection

Provision of false information can result in the withdrawal of the service.
