Make a planning application comments online

To submit comments on a planning application online:

  • Type in the Planning application number in the "Search for application reference" field i.e. PA/2005/1000
  • Wait for the information on the application to display
  • Check the tracking bar at the top of the screen to ensure that the period for submitting comments has not expired
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the "Submit Comment" button
  • Fill in the form and submit
  • Please note that if the period in which comments can be submitted has expired - the "Submit
  • Comment" button will not be available

Please note that, in accordance with the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any representations submitted will be made available for public inspection.

Representations should be restricted to matters relevant to town planning. This includes:

  • likely effects of the proposal on land use
  • local amenities and character of the area
  • the environment and countryside
  • traffic and parking.

The effect on property values, loss of view, commercial competition and private interests such as covenants cannot be taken into account.

In all cases applications will be assessed against the provisions of the North Lincolnshire Local Plan and other relevant material considerations. This includes supplementary guidance adopted by the council.

The head of Planning and Regeneration will normally determine most other applications. This will be under delegated authority. Unless for example, there are statutory consultee objections (including Parish/Town councils) and the Head of Service recommendation is to permit. Any councillor may request any case to be brought to a Planning Committee for decision.
