- Prepare supplementary planning guidance and other planning policy documents
- Ensure that all planning policy is in line with national and regional planning policy
- The preparation of an evidence base to support the (LDF) including documents such as:
- Strategic flood risk assessment
- Strategic housing and land allocations availability assessment
- Employment land review
- Sustainable settlement survey.
Research
The research function is an important part of spatial planning. It plays a central role providing important data and information for the production of policy and other documents, both legal and non-legal, all of which contribute towards helping North Lincolnshire develop and become a better place to live. Research is also responsible for monitoring the correct carrying out of planning policy.
