Development briefs

The Brigg north development brief

The Brigg north development brief aims to promote development of the Brigg north site. This is to allow the controlled expansion of the town.

The main aims of the breif are:

  • Stimulate interest in the site from potential developers
  • Establish the council’s expectations for the development of the site
  • Identify constraints affecting the site.

The finalised brief is available to download:

The Barton-Upon-Humber development brief

The Barton-upon-Humber development brief sets out broad principles that would allow for development of the site on the eastern side of the town. The adopted North Lincolnshire Local Plan (May 2003) allocates the site for housing.

The brief aims to support the outline planning application made to the council for residential development on part of the site. It also aims to reach an agreement on how to develop the site.

The finalised brief is available to download:

Development brief for land north of Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe

The development brief for land north of Doncaster Road, Scunthorpe has been prepared to promote the development of the site. This is a large site to the west of Scunthorpe. It is an urban extension to the town. It is allocated in the adopted North Lincolnshire Local Plan for around 1,000 new homes.

The brief has been prepared jointly by North Lincolnshire Council and Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners Ltd.

The development brief has now been approved by the council and is available to view. The brief will be used in helping to determine any future planning applications on the site.
