1. Consumer Choice

Work to help consumers choose, use and dispose of products sustainably.
Reduce overall consumption and buy local, seasonal produce wherever possible.
Buy second-hand, hire or share.
Buy recycled.
Protect and promote the rights of consumers to product safety information and clear labeling.

Value and protect nature in North Lincolnshire and avoid activities or policies, which may endanger species or their habitats in other parts of the world.
Increase people's awareness and understanding of biodiversity.

Promote a culture where people have the right to live their lives free of crime and free from the fear of crime, persecution and discrimination because of personal beliefs, race, age, gender, physical appearance or sexuality.
Act and use influence to ensure that the people of North Lincolnshire have access to the basic human rights of nutritious food, water, shelter and fuel at a reasonable cost.

Strive for healthier living and working environments by creating, encouraging and enabling healthier choices to be easier choices. This needs to be done within people's everyday settings alongside promoting healthier lifestyles amongst individuals and groups.
Address social and economic problems that may contribute to poor health, such as poverty, crime and fear of crime, homelessness, social exclusion and safety.
Act to develop a healthy physical living environment, minimising pollution to our air, water, and land.
