Agricultural Land Use in North Lincolnshire

Almost 89% of land in North Lincolnshire is in some form of agricultural use, which is higher than the 81% average for England. Over 54% of the total area is Land Quality Grades 1 and 2 which is a relatively high proportion of good quality land, the average for England being only 16%.

The following map shows the distribution of this land.

A reflection of the high percentage of Grades 1 and 2 land in North Lincolnshire is that 78% of the land is in crops and fallow, whereas the average for England is 46%.
