The council occasionally has land and property for sale or lease. If you see an empty council building, it isn't always available for the public. We check for other uses in the council first. We then seek Cabinet Member approval to put the property on the market. Surplus land or property could be:
- Residential land
- Council offices
- Old school buildings
- Former libraries
- Flats
- Sites for clearing
Land or property will be sold or leased by private treaty, tender or auction. Sometimes the council's property service carries this out. Sometimes we use agents. But we always try to list all our property on this page.
