The council also looks into accidents that happen at work, either to employees or members of the public. This is to find out what went wrong and to stop similar accidents occurring.
Officers usually deal with any problems informally. But the council may take formal action if necessary, such as prosecution.
You can make complaints about workplace health and safety within North Lincolnshire to the council's food and safety team. The team also offers general health and safety advice along with Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
