The draft appraisal for the Winterton conservation area provides an explanation of the workings of a conservation area and an assessment of the town's historic character and appearance.
There is also what is known as draft supplementary planning advice. This elaborates on the council's existing policies for conservation areas contained in its local plan. It also suggests some future courses of action felt necessary to help preserve the character and appearance of the conservation area.
