New enforcement powers:

The council is set to undertake new enforcement powers that will allow it to fine drivers who leave their engines running unnecessarily.

The powers will be carried out by officers from the Neighbourhood Response Team, who will be able to issue Fixed Penalty Notices of £20 to drivers who refuse to turn off their engine when their car is stationary.
