North Lincolnshire behaviour support plan - September 2004 onwards

Removing barriers to learning

North Lincolnshire Council has robust policies on Inclusion and Diversity.

The Behaviour Support Plan supports the philosophy that pupils living in North Lincolnshire, whatever their disability or learning difficulty, are best educated:-

  • in their own local mainstream or special school, where education is appropriate
  • or within an alternative provision in North Lincolnshire.

This plan outlines the strategies to support:-

  • schools
  • young people with behaviour difficulties
  • and their parents and carers

It helps to deliver or receive a fully inclusive and appropriate education. It also aims to remove the barriers to learning created or experienced by children and young people with challenging behaviour.
