The criteria are:

  • Wrap around childcare, 48 weeks per year, 8am to 6pm for those parents who require it. This can either be delivered on school sites, in partnership with another local providers or by signposting parents to childcare provision within the locality. This part of the core offer is not applicable to secondary schools
  • Community use of school premises where appropriate and based on community need, in addition adult learning opportunities are offered where appropriate based on need either on school site or by signposting to existing provision
  • A varied menu of study support opportunities are offered to pupils either before, during or after the school day including some provision during the school holidays.
  • Parenting support opportunities around transition or access to local, regional and/ or national information
  • Internal school mechanisms for identifying pupils who may require a swift and easy referral to specialist support services and agencies.
