Transport for pupils attending denominational schools

Pupils taking up places at Voluntary Aided schools in or after September 2009 will not be entitled to free transport, unless they have an entitlement under the Low Income or Designated Schools policy set out in sections A and B above. This includes pupils transferring from one school to another or moving up from primary to secondary school.

Pupils already receiving free transport under denominational schools policy before September 2009 will continue to receive it whilst they attend their present school unless their circumstances change and they no longer meet the following criteria.

  1. Pupils attends the nearest maintained Voluntary Aided school within North Lincolnshire of their parents denomination.
  2. Pupils aged 7 years and under where the journey between home and school is over 2 miles, but not more than 12 miles.
  3. Pupils of 8 years and over where the journey between home and school is between 3 and 12 miles.
  4. Distance from home to school is not more than 12 miles.
