Free transport may be provided on medical grounds certified by a Community Medical Officer or if the council decides the journey is hazardous and unsuitable as a walking route. This applies only to pupils attending their catchment schools.
Where a pupil is registered at a school but is attending a place other than that school, free transport may be provided subject to distance and authorisation by the officer of the council that approved the placement.
