The Education Library Service offers services to primary and special schools. A quality service is also available for a small-added cost. A service is also available for secondary schools and pre-school groups. This is on a ‘pay as you use’ basis. Teachers are welcome to visit the Education Library Service at the Education Development Centre and at Riddings Library. Please ring to set up a visit.

What do we offer?
Professional advice from fully qualified library staff with experience of library and reading needs in schools.
A stock of over 90,000 books. We are able to provide a wide range of reading and learning resources to schools including:
- Project loan packs
- Reading loans
- Book talks, reading and promotional sessions.
When are we open?
The general opening times are from 9am to 4.30pm. However, because we work from two sites, we advise that you telephone first to make sure staff will be available. Sessions outside these hours are available by prior arrangement.
