December 2007 - 'Agenda' the BSF newsletter was launched within North Lincolnshire.

December 2007 - A press release was issued on 18 December 2007 announcing the results of the first round in the process to select a partner for its £80m Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme.

Supply companies who are interested in providing future BSF services should contact the following named representatives from each of the consortiums:

October 2007 - National Poetry Day 2007 was given a BSF twist year when Year Eight pupils in each BSF school were invited to take part in a local poetry competition. We asked them to tell us what they thought of BSF using their poetry and creative writing skills.

September 2007 - The council's Outline Business Case (OBC) was approved.

September 2007 - A bidders' open day was held at Forest Pines on 20 September 2007.

September 2007 - Public consultations are taking place on the academy at High Ridge School.

September 2007 - The BSF blog was launch by Kevin Moloney in his role as Consulting Headteacher for BSF and Community Developments.

August 2007 - Outline planning permission for the two reference schemes has been submitted.

August 2007 - A BSF Microsoft Workshop was held to explore the ways IT can transform education and teaching.

May 2007 - Kevin Moloney, Consultant Headteacher for BSF and the Community, said: first draft pictures of Scunthorpe's BSF schools now available.

April 2007 - A bidders' open day was held at Forest Pines on Tuesday, 17 April 2007.

March 2007 - Strategic Business Case(SBC) was approved.

March 2007 - Melior Community College, for Business, Enterprise and the Arts will be the new name for the merged Thomas Sumpter and South Leys School. Pupils and Governors chose the name. 'Melior' is Latin for 'better'.

February 2007 - Angela Briggs was appointed head teacher of the new South Leys and Thomas Sumpter School merged school, Melior Community College, with effect from September 2007. A temporary governing body has been established to support Angela.

February 2007 - Kevin Moloney was appointed consultant head teacher (BSF and Community) with effect from September 2007.
