Building Schools for the Future

BSF in North Lincolnshire

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a once in a lifetime opportunity to invest in secondary schools. North Lincolnshire Council has secured £88m to rebuild and modernise secondary schools in Scunthorpe.

Our vision is to transform learning by combining inspirational buildings and facilities, flexible learning spaces and information technology. Learners will be able to access the widest possible range of curriculum resources and environments. This will be made possible with the help of motivated and experienced staff. Each school will build on existing specialisms and will work together to build a wider learning campus for North Lincolnshire.

Each BSF school will also host a located resource base to help include pupils with additional needs.

BSF's major investment in ICT offers the opportunity to create a common digital platform (Cdip). This allows all of our secondary and primary schools to take advantage of this major capital investment.

Our other seven secondary schools are in a later BSF wave. The council has recently submitted an expression of interest bid to the Government to have this wave brought forward to start after the Scunthorpe schools are completed.
