The council's governing bodies support service provides help and support for schools and governing bodies. It provides a clerking service and advice on procedures, policies and legislative issues.

What are we here for?

Our aim is to provide training and services. These are to assist in managing schools effectively.

Who do we work with?

We work with school governors, head teachers, education officers and advisors. Also the National Association of Governors (NAGM) and the Learning and Skills Council for Humberside.

What can we offer?

As well as training, we offer a termly newsletter, telephone help line and link governor support. We also offer information about local, regional and national governor events and conferences, distance learning materials and a central resource library.
