North Lincolnshire pupils can get musical instruments through our assisted instrument purchase scheme. This is if they:
- attend council maintained schools, and
- receive instrumental lessons at school from the council's music support service.
Pupils will receive big discounts on the instruments and they can reclaim the VAT.
Please discuss with your child’s teacher about which instrument is appropriate.
All instruments supplied are new, are of best quality and are set up ready to play.
In all cases the following criteria must be fulfilled:
- The pupil must be in full-time education at a council school
- The pupil must be receiving tuition from a council appointed visiting instrumental teacher
- The instrument must be appropriate to the pupil’s needs
- The instrument must be handed over from the school to the pupil in a teaching room
- The instrument must be charged to the pupil at, or below, cost price
- The instrument should be portable (by one person), that is no pianos or drum-kits!
Getting your instrument is simple:
- Talk to the visiting instrumental teacher or the music support service to ensure the correct choice
- Complete the order form below and return to the music support service office
- The instrument will be delivered to school via the music support service teacher within a few days
- A £5.00 administration fee will be included in the quoted cost of the instrument
