The Primary Behaviour Support team

The Primary Behaviour Support team provides behaviour support for the inclusion of all primary aged pupils. It provides outreach support for pupils. If you need support, you will need to complete a referral form (please contact the Primary Behaviour Support team for more information). The form should be returned with a copy sent to the SEN Section at Hewson House, Brigg.

The Primary Behaviour Support team works with school staff to:

  • provide a sounding board for identifying opportunities for behavioural change
  • offer strategies to improve behaviour within class
  • identify and promote positive behaviours already occurring
  • develop simple recording mechanisms that facilitate effective target setting

It works with pupils to:

  • develop solution focused strategies with pupils, teachers and parents
  • assist with the development of realistic and practical individual education plans
  • link with other agencies in providing an effective network of support
  • assist with transitions between schools
