Student Finance - Information about Higher Education

North Lincolnshire Council acts as an agent of the Secretary of State administering support for approximately 2,600 higher education students.

The Student Support team is based at Hewson House in Brigg. It consists of up to seven staff (depending on the time of year) who assess students’ eligibility to receive support. They undertake the means-testing of income to find out how much each student is entitled to receive.

If you are thinking of entering higher education and want more information about applying for a place please go to the Universities & Colleges Admissions Service for the UK (UCAS) web site.

The council gives presentations to students in each of the further education institutions in North Lincolnshire. Ask your school or college when we will be visiting you.
