Anti-bullying

The Anti-Bullying Forum has been consulting on the policy and guidance of the prevention of bullying within North Lincolnshire. The consultation period has now ended. If you have any queries please contact the Safeguarding Children coordinator on 01724 298216 or email katie.newborn@northlincs.gov.uk. Further updates will be available shortly.

Anti-bullying is a priority in the North Lincolnshire Children and Young People's Plan.

A multi-agency group, including schools, parents, the voluntary and community sector, health, the police, Children's Services, councillors and children and young people have been meeting since September 2006 to produce this strategy and guidance.

We want all our community and children’s workforce to accept that bullying is harmful and can have lasting negative effects on a person.

If adopted, all our children's workforce will receive basic anti-bullying training. All incidents of bullying in our schools and children's establishments will be recorded and monitored. Appropriate support and interventions will be available.

We believe bullying is everybody's business.

The Anti Bullying Strategy 2007 is available to download as a pdf file:
