Whether you’re a student wondering what to do when you leave school or college, or someone looking for a change of career, there’s a range of information available to help you.

Getting careers advice couldn’t be simpler and it really could change your life. The websites below provide a good starting point:

  • Directgov – has a jobs and skills search facility with over 800 career profiles that tell you what qualifications and experience you need for different jobs.
  • LG careers - tells you all you need to know about working for your local council, including over 200 career descriptions.
  • Connexions Direct – provides careers advice for 13-19 year olds, from choosing options in Year 9 to post 16 choices.
  • Connexions Humber – information on the services provided by the local Connexions centres.
