Volunteering and befriending

Volunteer tutors

We regularly need people willing to help as voluntary tutors in literacy, numeracy and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) groups, particularly in the daytime. Befrienders are also needed to work in a variety of general adult education groups alongside learners with particular needs, e.g. those lacking in confidence or with physical or communication learning difficulties.

Befrienders are entitled to a free course when helping to support a learner on that specific course.

Please contact one of our Adult Education Centres for more information on becoming a volunteer or befriender.
