New ICT and multimedia courses for January 2009

Digital Cre8or Award

The Digital Creator Award - or Digital Cre8or - is an exciting new award designed for people who want to make the most of digital media devices (mobile phone, ipod, etc) and computers.

Digital Cre8or encourages learners to use their creative skills to create real life digital media projects that build into an innovative digital assessment e-portfolio.

OCR Text Processing (Business Professional) Level 1, 2 and 3

This new Text Processing suite of qualifications has been designed to develop and recognise candidates' ability to produce a variety of current and straightforward business documents to meet the requirements of the employer in a modern business environment.

The Text Processing Suite aims to:

  • Develop candidates' understanding of a range of business documents
  • Develop candidates' skill in using keyboard functions
  • Develop candidates' ability to produce quality work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Encourage progression.
