You may be entitled to free or half fee courses if you are in receipt of benefits such as job seekers allowance, aged 16-18 (vocational courses only), working tax credit, income support, aged over 60, unwaged dependent or eligible for level 2 entitlement. Find out what you are entitled to.
How to enrol on a course
A wide variety of courses are available at your local adult education centre. You can enrol at any time by:
- Attending any one of our centres (please note that Brigg is only open during term-time)
- Visiting a Local Link office or library
- Completing an enrolment form and posting it to one of our centres
- Telephoning or emailing a centre for an enrolment form/ with an enrolment form.
If you require further information about a course before you enrol, please contact any centre and ask for a copy of the course information sheet.
Each sheet gives the following information:
- Aims of the course
- Prior experience required
- Course content
- Materials you will need
- What you will need to bring to the first meeting
- Progression routes.
You may enrol for up to three courses at a time. Please complete an enrolment form and ensure you read the statement of learner entitlements and responsibilities.
Personal and postal enrolments will be accepted at all our main centres on an ongoing basis.
If you would like to enrol by post, please ensure you enclose the following:
- Completed enrolment form/s
- Cheque payable to North Lincolnshire Council, or debit/credit card details
- Evidence to support your claim for reduced/ nil fee.
Please assume you have been successful in securing a place on the course of your choice unless you are notified to the contrary. Receipts will not be posted out.

To enrol on an adult education course you must complete an enrolment form and send it to your local adult education centre.
