Digital Cre8or - is an exciting new award designed to meet the needs of people who want to make the most of digital media devices and computers.
Digital Cre8or encourages learners to create real life digital media projects that build into an innovative digital assessment e-portfolio. The award syllabus is aligned with the National Qualifications Framework and is a nationally-recognised qualification at Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE*).
Units Covered on this course:
Unit B: Digital still images
Capturing and manipulating digital images
- Learn to capture images with a digital camera
- Import and organize your images on the computer
- Improve and enhance your digital images using Adobe Photoshop.
Unit D: Digital video
Capturing and manipulating digital video
- Learn to capture; store; edit and output digital video
- Learn how to record video more competently
- Learn the importance of sound in a digital video project.
Unit F: Sharing with optical media
Basic understanding of technologies such as DVD
- Plan and make a DVD that includes videos with scene selection; image slideshows and music
- Add the individual digital media elements to a project
- Burn the project to DVD, ready to be played on a computer or consumer DVD player.
Unit H: Sharing digital media using multimedia presentations
Creating a multimedia presentation
- Design and create a multimedia presentation of digital images
- Add sound and graphics to a presentation
- Create a web page and interactive display of digital images.
