- There are currently no schools in special measures or with serious weaknesses.
- Officers have a good professional relationship with Members.
- Target setting for individual pupils is good.
- The LEA's support for schools in the collection and analysis of data is very good.
- Strategic planning and performance management are both good.
- Financial services are effective and well regarded by schools.
- The LEA's support for school management is good.
- Support for literacy is good.
- Support for numeracy is good and extends well beyond the national strategy.
- The LEA's revised Education Development Plan is good and is being implemented effectively.
- Support for attendance is good.
- The LEA's support for governors is good.
- Personnel support is good and highly valued by schools.
- The LEA has a good strategy for Special Education Needs.
