Lakeside new primary school

Proposals received in respect of the proposed new school on Lakeside (updated 29 May 2009)

Following the invitation notice published on 9 January 2009, inviting proposals for a new mainstream school located on the Lakeside development, the council can confirm that the following bids have been received from:

  • The Lincoln Diocesan Board of Education and
  • North Lincolnshire Council

Public meeting

A public meeting to discuss the bids will be held on Wednesday 10 June at 5.30pm at Pittwood House, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, DN16 1AB.

All bidders will be invited to present their proposals and an opportunity will be given for all interested parties to ask questions and make comments.

Consultation period

A six-week consultation period will commence on 29 May 2009 whereby objections/comments can be submitted on the proposals. All objections/comments should be sent to:

What happens next?

Following the six-week consultation period the bids along with any objections/comments will be sent to the Schools Adjudicator for their consideration. The Adjudicator will make a decision on who has won the bid (the decision date is not yet known).
