The council produces a Style Guide. It sets out to ensure clear and consistent communication.
It contains the general principles for anyone who wants to write in plain English. There are also guidelines for council employees to use when writing for the public.

The council has also produced the first ever written communications protocol. It covers all written communications by staff intended for both internal and external audiences.
